
The University of Milano-Bicocca, under Horizon Europe Grant No. 101215656, is pleased to establish RIFF Fellowships for researchers and managers working in Research Infrastructures (RIs) in Ukraine.
The RIFF Fellowship will fund up to four high-profile candidates to participate in the 7th Edition (2026–2028) of the part-time Executive Master in Management of Research Infrastructures (EMMRI), delivered by the University of Milano-Bicocca (Italy), one of the RIFF project partners.

EMMRI is a specialised executive MBA focused exclusively on the management of Research Infrastructures (RIs). The programme awards 60 ECTS and runs over 18 months, from November 2026 to May 2028.
The curriculum is structured into:
• 7 on-campus modules in Milan (each lasting 3 days)
• 5 fully online modules
• Field project
The programme combines lectures, case study analysis, expert talks from RI leaders, guest speakers, and webinars, offering participants a comprehensive understanding of RI governance, financial sustainability, strategic planning, innovation management, and international cooperation.
Each RIFF Fellowship covers:
• Full tuition
• Participation in all programme activities
• Travel to and from Milan for on-campus modules
• Accommodation and subsistence during on-campus modules
Selected fellows will attend managerial training alongside participants from leading European and international Research Infrastructures.
The programme aims to:
• Strengthen leadership and management competences of Ukrainian RI professionals
• Support capacity building across all scientific domains
• Contribute to the reinforcement of the Ukrainian Research Infrastructure ecosystem
General Eligibility
Applicants must:
Be researchers, managers, or professional staff affiliated with Research Infrastructures in Ukraine (all scientific domains eligible)
Selection will be based on:
- Relevant professional experience
- Current position and level of responsibility
- Clear and justified training needs

In the motivation letter, applicants must specify whether they have travel restrictions affecting participation in the on-campus sessions in Milan.
The Master is taught in English, applicants are expected to demonstrate good proficiency in English.

Notification of results: September 2026. Selected candidates will be notified individually.
