RItrain, the Research Infrastructure Training Programme, is an EU-funded Horizon 2020 project aimed at improving and professionalizing the training of managerial and leadership staff in research infrastructures (RIs). This is vital for the future success of Europe because access to excellent RIs underpins today’s research and innovation.
RItrain is coordinated by a consortium comprising RIs and Universities: BBMRI-ERIC, EMBL-EBI(representing ELIXIR), ECRIN, EATRIS, Infrafrontier, Euro-Bioimaging (IMG), CNRS (representing DARIAH), SHARE-ERIC, Medical University of Wien, Imperial College London, University of Minho, and the University of Milano-Bicocca. The Consortium represents in particular the biomedical domain, furthermore the human and social sciences. It is also very well connected with research infrastructures in the physical and environmental sciences. The consortium members also include organisations spanning all phases of the life-cycle of a research infrastructure, from initial planning, through construction to operational maturity.
