Join EMMRI today, the first international management programme tailored to Research Infrastructures needs
We are proud to announce the graduation of the participants of the first Executive Masters in Management of Research Infrastructures programme. The EMMRI students presented and defended their field projects on 14th and 15th March at the University of Milano-Bicocca. The field projects were a great vehicle to apply the tools and concepts learned across the EMMRI modules. The graduation ceremony that followed was both the recognition and the celebration of the hard work of the students and teaching faculty of this first Master programme tailored to managers and leaders of Research Infrastructures.
At the end of the Graduation Ceremony, Professor Marialuisa Lavitrano, Director of EMMRI said: “The participants had the opportunity to confront themselves with the ideas of great scientists-managers such as Iain Mattaj current Director General of Human Technopole or with Jacques Demotes, General Director of ECRIN -ERIC or even with Ivan Baines, Chief Operating Officer at the Max Plank Institute “.
“To have Infrastructures of Research always better organised and oriented to scientific achievements with important social impact – commented Professor Enrico Guarini, coordinator of the Master – a path like this, which develops managerial skills of scientists, is today fundamental and can no longer be postponed ”.
During the delivery of the master, Francisco Colomer, scientist and astrophysicist, has become Director General of JIVE-ERIC, one of the most essential European Research Infrastructures in the field of space studies; and Arnaud Roi has been appointed as Secretary General of DARIAH, an Active Research Infrastructure in the area of Digital Humanities.
